We will help you install the software in you system. The installation manual for installation into Windows system will be provided with step by step execution along with screen shot.
  • Option 2:
Set up a compute engine in Google Cloud and set up your own Informatica environment there. Step by step method for creating the compute engine and then installation will be shown in a document. You can access the machine from your desktop/laptop as and when required.
  • Note: - Google offers trial version of cloud some specific days. Please read the conditions before using the services.

Towards the end of this training, you will be working on a live project using Informatica
Project #1 :
Bank of Baroda is currently having a series of banks throughout the country. The Bank managing committee wants to understand their business needs, customer’s requirement in detail and more accurate manner. They want to build up one Decision support system. In the process of decision support system they want some banking report on daily, weekly, monthly basis. The Bank already has managed their database in Oracle. The vendor need to use their database to give an automatic reporting application for present and future requirements.
Some of the main limitations of the existing structure are
•    Currently report development system is time consuming
•    Lots of manual effort is required to create a report
•    Reports are not advanced in terms of proper selection at run time
•    Chances of error are more.
•    Company is using many product for their applications
Project #2
Target Mega Mart was established in 2003. For last 5 years, it is a leading Wholesale & Retail dealer for Consumer goods. Presently they have well established branches running in three major states of US, Texas, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Furthermore Target Mart is looking forward towards the Exports as well as the International Business for Wholesale, Retail & Export.
The client has been suffering during many years of not having a computerized system for their day to day processing. With many shops spread across many states, each shop created its own system for their day to day activities. It was more and more difficult to follow this method as the accounting was not tracked properly. Hence the company has set out to build a system for tracking the sales data.
Target Mega Mart is planning to build a data warehouse of sales, to enhance their decision support. The business requires a centralized data access for generating various reports to forecast and value their product sales across the branches.
Your company has won the proposal for the creating ETL Processes to load data into their data warehouse in a daily, monthly, yearly and on-demand basis.
Project #3 :
Bank of New York, wants to market new set of credit cards and related products. The customers of the bank, seeking one of these products offered, would be able to submit their application through a website. The application is sent to various products for approval. If the applicant fulfills the eligibility criteria, he/she will be offered the product. If the applicant accepts the product, the information will be sent to the product so that the application can be fulfilled.
You have been given the job to create a set of consolidated files from the source data the bank is having for the consumption of Banks Analytics system.
Create a set of ETL processes as per the rules mentioned in the mapping document as handed over to you by your team lead.

Final Project #4 :

With more than 100 locations spread across the country, Gander Mountain operates the largest retail network of electronic products and accessory stores across the world. Headquartered in Texas, our client operates 1,700+ stores in throughout the world. The retail chain acquired many brands as part of expansion in US and Canada.
Multiple brand acquisitions in the long term led to information challenges (functional silos, data redundancy, multiple data marts, multiple reporting tools, no common “enterprise” data model, integration and delivery issues, data quality issues, and coordination issues with multiple teams).
Costs of maintaining multiple data marts and costs of training multiple teams were growing out of control.
The systems and analysis tools were limited in volume, sophistication and rate of change of data they can handle.
Significant amount of data was replicated across multiple data marts.
Getting a single source of truth for data was becoming more and more challenging as the technical landscape was becoming more and more complex with the introduction of multi-vendor Database, ETL and Reporting platforms. Integrating ongoing acquired business’ data into heterogeneous platforms was challenging and uphill task.
A study was carried out with input from various stakeholders and the key outcome from this study was to consolidate all the data marts into one single Integrated Data Warehouse (IDW).

• Single version of truth
• Information Accuracy
• Analytics-Ready Data Warehouse Platform
• Reduced batch time
• Earlier availability of information
• Improvement in business continuity (ability to access critical reports in the event of production data warehouse failure)
• Significant cost savings (licensing cost elimination, Database Administration cost reduction, Reduced network resource usage, reduction in Data
• Warehouse and ETL operational costs)
• Enable faster integration of new brands and realize related benefits sooner
• One small and efficient team supporting all brands and business units
